promise to love you, i will.

in one month, evan and i will say "i will" to one another on our wedding day. we have both been anticipating this day for a very, very long time. we have shared stories about our desire to be married from a young age, dreaming about being a supportive spouse and parent. throughout our relationship, we knew early on that we wanted to marry one another. as a couple, we've been dreaming of this day for quite some time. more importantly, we have been working towards knowing how to love and support one another for the rest of our lives, in the big and small moments.

we have been so priveledged to do marriage counseling with frank and linda hoover over the past few months. a few weeks ago they told us, "you know, marriage is a powerful force. it is a soul thing. it unites souls, and not just you two. you as a couple have the power to impact others, serve others, unite souls." wow. we are stepping into something very life-giving and very challenging. our marriage is not just about us; it is about those God has and will put in our lives to serve, love, and support. it is also about those who have and will be in our lives as a gift from God to serve, love, and support us.

our dreams for the future as a couple involve serving others and providing hospitality. we love opening up our dinner table to share food and conversation with friends, new and old. we hope our new home will be a warm welcome to anyone who is in need of rest, comfort, or company. we pray God will provide us with many opportunities to serve others in these ways, and as His servants, we pray that we will not pass by these opportunities.

please continue to serve, love, and support us in your prayers and actions. we have been overwhelmed with the love and support from so many family members and friends. in one month, we are looking forward to celebrating the start of our marriage with many of you. most importantly, we look forward to celebrating the rest of our life together and your lives each and every day.
